I love how my adviser's ignoring me. I haven't written a word of my second draft.
Incidentally, one can use either the adviser or the advisor spelling and be correct.
It's Garfunkel.
In other news, no hand icon appears when I move my pointer over the links within the main body of this page. The sidebar links (to bivalves' blogs and the archive link) work just fine.
Tara, your blog is hilarious. Or hilarious, as they say. Who are they, you ask? Welllll.

summer is almost over... like, two weeks until school starts... less than two. I've read the summer reading.. I just need to do the french work.
Were we supposed to do something with our extended essay thing? My advisor never returned it to me. :P He said he was going to mail it back asap. But summer is almost over and I still haven't received it... Aheh. Mr. Evans, I'm going to blame you if I get screwed.

Oh wow... group blog... i'm sure this will be interesting...
I think Garfunkal is spelled Garfunkel. Or is it Garfunkle? Heh. I don't really know their songs... or maybe I do. I don't know songs by name or who they're by, but by their tune.
People being shot and dying and lonely and suicidal people -- joy joy joy? Hrm.

And here I am, back. Amazing as this seemed to me a couple days ago, I have now visited the web site of and requested an application from every school I am remotely interested in. I checked my email and now am considering melting into a puddle of goo from boredom. But wait! My salvation! Not only do I have the earlier mentioned boring book (which is now, in the tradition of all things annoying, proceeding to multiply into not one, but two boring books), I also have AYN RAND. Which is actually impressive because until recently I thought I owned all of her books, but then I discovered a new one, and then there was joy. "HE brought joy, joy, joy joy into my heeeeeeart..." Love Simon and Garfunkal (sp?) But not when they get religious. How can they? Sing about people being shot and dying and lonely people and suicidal people and then...."Joy joy joy joy joy joy joy..." What the hell?

I've got questions. You've got answers (hopefully). For example, I can't click on the links in this blog, except for the links to other blogs. Why is this? Something to do with Netscape's limitations? Another thing- is Emily's drawing supposed to appear in the top left-hand corner of the page? (Just thought the position was kind of funny.)
Also, thanks go out to Deb for callin' me the Radiohead of the Web. I am honored.
Lastly, welcome aboard, Tara. Whee!

just noticed my last name is Irish. Wondering about that? I just didn't want to give my real last name, I didn't know it would be posted. That's okay.

reading back blogs... I love that "swift sword of death" and for only $27.95, it's a great deal. I love working for a republican, I feel like I'm supporting something good in the world... well, maybe not, but it's way better than a democrat.

So here I am, blogging for the first time. (Tara) Bet some of you are surprised, but don't worry, I'll refrain from unburdening myself of all my most inimate thoughts, no need to scare you all. But here I am at work, incredibly bored, with 22 minutes until time to go and only I fairly mediocre book to read. Oh well (Sorry Deb, I meant never to say that again, back in 9th grade, but screw that). So less than 2 weeks till schools starts, and I still haven't read my summer reading. Damn. But I'm seventeen, which is kinda cool, considering. Of course, in theory, 16 is supposed to be like THE cool age to be, but screw that. I was sad because there aren't any songs about 17 like there are about 16, but then my dad thought of one, and Natalie thought of another, so now I'm okay. Except that I still don't know what college I'm going to. (Haven't heard that from me before, right?) But I'm somewhere closer along the way, because at least I sort of have a list, and I'm going visiting in the fall, which won't be fun, visiting weekends right during senior IB. Damn. but alright, I'm bored. This isn't so exciting. maybe it would be more exciting if I blogged on my own blog, maybe I should put more than my name on it...Maybe tommorrow. Read book? or don't read book? Read book, ugh.
